Stanford International Youth Program (SIYP)
The Stanford International Youth Program provides students between the ages of 14 and 17 the opportunity to experience academic and social aspects of college life at Stanford University.
During the 2 weeks on the Stanford University campus, students will be exposed to a range of subjects from the Stanford schools of Humanities & Sciences, Engineering, Medicine and Business. Students will engage in college-level content and participate in an instructional style similar to that of a college classroom. Weekend field trips allow students to immerse themselves in the diversity that the San Francisco Bay Area and Silicon Valley has to offer.
Students also learn about the US college admissions process, how to create a college portfolio and about what resources are available to international students. They will be given opportunities to meet and interact with peers who share their intellectual interests and who wish to advance their education in the US. All of this takes place on the scenic Stanford University campus.
For Summer 2014, the course dates are from August 5 - 17. Students will arrive at San Francisco International Airport on August 5, and will depart the Stanford University campus on August 17.
